Network Administrator

Responsibilities
-Install and configure different software
-Manage non-production servers and technology tools
-Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
-Troubleshoot issues
-Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
-Upgrade systems with new releases and models
-Ensure that after all Standard Release deployments, all non-production environments are updated with the correct codebase, where appropriate; including coordinating and executing non production environment code refreshes; keeping non production environment(s) as close to ‘prod-like’ as possible.
-Maintain and mature data masking efforts of non-production applications using the masking tool of choice
-Work with other team members to streamline and mature deployment pipelines including triggering of supporting events such as automated smoke testing
-Work with Project Managers on all major projects specifically around development, quality assurance and user acceptance timelines to ensure environmental compatibility and availability
-Communication of all non-prod refreshes and major environmental issues / changes


Requirements and skills
-Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
-Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
-Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
-Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
-Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
-Excellent communication skills
-BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
